If Lisa Frank and Tony Hawk Pro Skater had a baby. Blue Ruin delivers you Pop Punk nostalgia with a dash of graveyard horror. Hailing from New Zealand, Blue Ruin has since reformed with members from Italy, Germany and the UK. If you hit up a Blue Ruin show you will get catchy riffs, weird accents, sick distortion and questionable stage banter.

Blue Ruin was originally formed in Auckland New Zealand in 2016, by life long friends Anna Monteith, Charlotte Tybalt and Sarah Mercutio. After hooking up with fellow New Zealand musicians Simone Genevieve and Jessie Booth, the girls set out on dominating the local New Zealand music scene.

After scoring high profile support slots with international icons such as the Misfits, Steel Panther, Buckcherry and Cherie Currie of the Runaways the band set their sights on international waters.

Connecting with Italian based musicians Elettra Pizzale and Eliana Cargenlutti the band went onto release their debut EP and first single Green River Thriller. After headlining successful tours of Europe and the UK, they begun writing their first full length album Hooligan’s Happy Hour. In early 2021 Blue Ruin welcomed Louisa Maria to the family as the bands new lead guitarist.

With Louisa on board the band then reconnected with Cherie Currie of the Runaways and embarked on a tour together of the UK and Scandinavia. In late 2023 Naomi Boschetti came on board as the bands new bassist.
